After good reviews that the latest album „Come Together – Live” that Leszek Cichonski recorded with John „Broadway” Tucker and Wojciech Karolak received across the Ocean, the Polish musicians got a preliminary proposition followed by an official invitation to the Monterey Bay Blues Festival – the venue which used to host Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin, among others.

Cichonski and the John „Broadway” Tucker Band kicked off the night concert on June 24th at The Main Stage of the festival. The first tune to be heard was our guitarist’s composition „Thanks Jimi” That was the Pole’s first performance on the famous Monterey stage. Apart from Leszek, Tucker’s band included bassist David Price, remembered from the album, and Bili Turner who played drums for Albert King and Junior Wells. The following day, the band did their second gig during the festival, this time at the outdoor Garden Stage.More info, photos, mp3 and video from the concert is available on Cichonski’s fan club site http://fanclub.cichonski.art.pl/
